Traffic Electric Police System

• The rapid urbanization process has exerted increasingly more tension to the urban traffic. The continuous up-going of traffic flow has caused serious traffic jam problems and the rise of traffic accidents, making road safety an acute problem. To cope with the problems brought by accelerating urbanization, the construction of Intelligent Transportation System has become imperative.
• The electric police monitoring system, i.e. auto evidence obtaining and penalty charging system for road traffic violation, is a brand new application of ITS (Intelligent Transportation System), which transmits a comprehensive variety of information collected from red-light violation monitors, speeding detectors, retrogradation detectors, road bayonet system, license plate auto-recognition system, traffic alarm system and city road integrated supervisory & control system (ISCS), etc.
• Considering the wide distribution and large number of communication nodes, and the detrimental environment factors in the field - extreme temperature, humidity, vibration and dust, etc., the industrial grade switch has become the only choice for networking.

Network Topology

• Install monitor cameras on all 4 traffic directions at each cross, incl. 3 ISE 2008D (with 1 fiber port and 7 RJ45 ports) to provide picture and video transmission channels for cameras of the 3 directions, and 1 ISE 2008D（with 4 fiber ports and 4 RJ45 ports） on the 4th direction.
• Data transmitted through fiber to the cross, the signal light data, surrounding monitoring data and video data will gather on the switch with 4 fiber ports and 4 RJ45 ports and be transmitted to the branch monitoring center through optical fiber, then to the city center through existing backbone network.

• ISE 2008D has 4 fiber/RJ45 optional ports, provides several port selections. Using multiple-port equipments, you will not need to add photoelectric converters, and this will effectively solve the problem that twisted-pair line can not transmit data over long distance, while saving capital cost for customers.
• ISE 2008D also supports some functions of managed switch, e.g. broadcasting storms relieving, VLAN, port malfunction alert etc., increasing communication reliability while keeping a simple network.
